Governor Chris Sununu Directs State Flags to Half-Staff on August 21, 2017 in Honor of Grafton County Dispatcher Steven Bomba

Governor Chris Sununu issued the following statement after directing flags on all public buildings and grounds to fly at half-staff in observance of the service of Grafton County Dispatcher Steven Bomba on the year anniversary of his passing.

"Steven Bomba served Grafton County with honor and distinction as a Dispatcher and Firefighter, and we will remember him for heroism, dedication and selfless service to his community."

Background: Steven Bomba lost his life in a tragic accident on his way home from the 170th Police Academy graduation at the University of New Hampshire in Durham on August 19, 2016 . His death was officially declared a Line of Duty Death following the approval of the Executive Council on 5/17/2017.
