Harrisburg, PA - Governor Tom Wolf has ordered all United States and commonwealth flags in the Capitol Complex and at all commonwealth facilities in Westmoreland County to fly at half-staff to honor St. Clair Township Police Officer Lloyd Reed.
"Thoughts and prayers are with family and colleagues of St. Clair Township Officer Lloyd Reed who was killed in the line of duty last night," said Governor Tom Wolf. "Today, and every day, we are reminded of those that make the ultimate sacrifice to keep our communities safe."
Reed, a law enforcement officer for more than 20 years, sustained life threatening injuries while responding to a call Saturday night.
Flags shall be lowered to half-staff and remain lowered until interment.
All Pennsylvanians are invited to participate in this tribute.
