Half-Staff Alert - December 14, 2019
For Indiana Only

Flags should be flown at half-staff from sunrise to sunset on the day of his funeral, Saturday, December 14.

Cpl. Larry Litton Jr., 29, was found unresponsive at the Muscatatuck Urban Training Center on Saturday. Details of his death are not being provided at this time, an Indiana National Guard spokeswoman said, citing the ongoing investigation.

Upon being found, Litton was immediately transferred to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Gov. Holcomb also asks businesses and residents in Morgan County to lower their flags to half-staff on Friday to honor Sgt. Larry Litton Jr. and his service.

**When flown at half-staff or half-mast, the U.S. flag should be hoisted first to the peak for an instant and then lowered to the half-staff or half-mast position. The flag should again be raised to the peak before it is lowered for the day.
