Lindsay’s body will return to Colorado Springs on April 3, and the unit memorial service will be held April 9.
Lindsay, 33, died in the line of duty on March 22, 2019, of injuries sustained while conducting dismounted maintenance operations. He was serving in support of Operation Freedom’s Sentinel in Kunduz Province, Afghanistan.
Lindsay was assigned to A Company, 2nd Battalion, 10th Special Forces Group, U.S. Army, Fort Carson, Colorado.
**When flown at half-staff or half-mast, the U.S. flag should be hoisted first to the peak for an instant and then lowered to the half-staff or half-mast position. The flag should again be raised to the peak before it is lowered for the day.
