WHEREAS, on February 8, 2019, Bryan Rodriguez, an infrastructure repair crew leader for the City of Milwaukee Department of Public Works was tragically struck and killed by a vehicle while on duty;

WHEREAS, Bryan Rodriguez was a dedicated City of Milwaukee Department of Public Works employee since 2017;

WHEREAS, Bryan Rodriguez was a devoted husband, father, stepfather, grandfather, public servant, and valued member of his community;

WHEREAS, the death of Bryan Rodriguez has impacted his family, community, and the people of the State of Wisconsin, who now remember his legacy and mourn his death; and

WHEREAS, a memorial service will be held for Bryan Rodriguez on February 16, 2019 in the City of Milwaukee.

NOW, THEREFORE, 1, TONY EVERS, Governor of the State of Wisconsin, by the authority vested in me by the Constitution and the Laws of the State, hereby order that the flag of the United States and the flag of the State of Wisconsin shall be flown at half-staff at all buildings, grounds, and military installations of the State of Wisconsin, beginning at sunrise on February 16, 2019, and ending at sunset on that date.



**When flown at half-staff or half-mast, the U.S. flag should be hoisted first to the peak for an instant and then lowered to the half-staff or half-mast position. The flag should again be raised to the peak before it is lowered for the day.
