The Texas flag is at half-staff regionally in the City of Springtown and the County of Nueces.

Please take note of the following action taken by the governor to immediately lower the Texas and US flags on the state capitol building and in Hansford County in honor of the life and military service of U.S. Army Sergeant Cameron A. Meddock of Amarillo died on Thursday, January 17, 2019, in support of Operation Freedom's Sentinel.

Flags should return to full-staff at sunset on Saturday, January 19, 2019.



**When flown at half-staff or half-mast, the U.S. flag should be hoisted first to the peak for an instant and then lowered to the half-staff or half-mast position. The flag should again be raised to the peak before it is lowered for the day.
