On Monday, August 20, 2018, U.S. Army Chief Warrant Officer Three Taylor J. Galvin was killed in a military helicopter crash in western Iraq. Chief Warrant Officer Three Taylor J. Galvin was assigned to the Delta Company, 1st Battalion, 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment at Fort Campbell, Kentucky. As a mark of respect for Chief Warrant Officer Three Taylor J. Galvin, I hereby direct the flags of the United States and the State of Florida to be flown at half-staff at the Levy County Courthouse in Bronson, Florida, the Town Hall in Cedar Key, Florida, and at the State Capitol in Tallahassee, Florida, from sunrise to sunset on Friday, September 7, 2018.



**When flown at half-staff or half-mast, the U.S. flag should be hoisted first to the peak for an instant and then lowered to the half-staff or half-mast position. The flag should again be raised to the peak before it is lowered for the day.
