Governor Matthew H. Mead, pursuant to his authority as Governor of Wyoming, has ordered the Wyoming State flag be flown at half-staff in honor of former State Legislator Bill Thompson from sunrise to sunset on Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at the State Capitol in Cheyenne and in Sweetwater County. Mr. Thompson served in the Wyoming House of Representatives from 2001 to 2010.
**When flown at half-staff or half-mast, the U.S. flag should be hoisted first to the peak for an instant and then lowered to the half-staff or half-mast position. The flag should again be raised to the peak before it is lowered for the day.
