By order of the Governor, all flags of the United States and the flag of Missouri at all State and government offices will be flown at half-staff, on Wednesday, April 25, 2018, from sunrise until sunset in memory of Deputy Sheriff Casey Shoemate who died in the line of duty.
Also, by order of the Governor, all flags at all State and government offices will be flown at half-staff, in Miller County only, from Wednesday, April 25, until sunset on Friday, April 27, in memory of Deputy Sheriff Casey Shoemate.
Your office is responsible for distributing this information throughout your department for compliance with this order on April 25th.
**When flown at half-staff or half-mast, the U.S. flag should be hoisted first to the peak for an instant and then lowered to the half-staff or half-mast position. The flag should again be raised to the peak before it is lowered for the day.
