By order of the Governor, all flags of the United States and the flag of Missouri at all State and government offices, shall be flown at half-staff, statewide from sunrise to sunset on March 27, 2018 as a mark of respect for Special Agent Melissa S. Morrow who died in the line of duty.
Also, by order of the Governor, all flags at all State and government offices will be flown at half-staff, in the counties of Cass, Clay, Jackson, Platte, Audrain, Boone and Cole from sunrise on March 27 until sunset on March 30, 2018.
Your office is responsible for distributing this information throughout your department for compliance with this order.
**When flown at half-staff or half-mast, the U.S. flag should be hoisted first to the peak for an instant and then lowered to the half-staff or half-mast position. The flag should again be raised to the peak before it is lowered for the day.
